Obama to Crush Economy with Massive CO2 Taxes as Early as Next Week

From Canada Free Press:

Abandoning all loyalty to the democratic processes this nation holds dear, President Obama has made the decision that getting energy tax legislation through Congress with the approval of the American people is just too much of a pain to bother with. Instead he will have the EPA declare as early as next week that CO2 is a dangerous global warming gas and will start regulating its emissions immediately.

Obama’s promise to open up vast stretches of ocean on the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico to energy exploration is simply a ruse to soften up the public for soon to be announced draconian regulations.

Similar to how Obama used the $50 million dollar study on healthcare companies competing across state lines to sell ObamaCare as a bipartisan bill, his recent decree allowing energy companies to explore (not drill, not produce energy from … just explore) new stretches of ocean for oil is also meant to be a trivial, yet impressive enough sounding carrot for conservatives right before he stuffs his Marxist trash down their throats.

House Minority Leader John Boehner responded to Obama by saying “At the same time the White House makes today’s announcement, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is plotting a new massive job-killer that the American people can’t afford.”

Every American who doesn’t live in a technology adverse commune in California will now pay even more of their hard earned cash to the federal government for absolutely no good reason.

Put simply, it means $8 for a gallon of gas and 2-3 times higher electricity bills. It also means the loss of millions more sorely needed jobs as businesses are hit with higher operating costs and the transfer of whatever remains of our manufacturing sector to China where energy is cheaper and they aren’t so concerned about CO2.
In the first week alone, American businesses estimated that ObamaCare will cost them $14 billion. By most estimates this latest Obama nightmare will be far more expensive and may literally destroy the economy in less than 20 years.

All because of climate science that has been clearly exposed as inaccurate and untrustworthy. Obama may or may not be a communist plant sent to destroy America, but he sure is acting like one.

Hockey stick observed in NOAA ice core data

Based on the final graph, I think we’ve got some climate change coming.

From WattsUpWithThat.com:

At the Foresight Institute, J. Storrs Hall had some interesting graphs made from NOAA ice core data (Alley, R.B. 2000. The Younger Dryas cold interval as viewed from central Greenland. Quaternary Science Reviews 19:213-226.) It sure seems to mirror other hockey sticks this past century. Dr. Mann will be thrilled to see this I’m sure.

J. Storrs Hall writes:

One thing that Climategate does is give us an opportunity to step back from the details of the AGW argument and say, maybe these are heat-of-the-moment stuff, and in the long run will look as silly as the Durants’ allergy to Eisenhower. And perhaps, if we can put climate arguments in perspective, it will allow us to put the much smaller nano arguments (pun intended) into perspective too.

So let’s look at some ice.

I’m looking at the temperature record as read from this central Greenland ice core. It gives us about as close as we can come to a direct, experimental measurement of temperature at that one spot for the past 50,000 years.  As far as I know, the data are not adjusted according to any fancy computer climate model or anything else like that.

Corporate Mockingbird Media Speaks With One Voice On Climate Change

I guess this is more of the consensus I keep hearing about regarding “global warming.” All the editorials show a consensus now, so it must definitely be true. There is so much bullshit in just the first paragraph that I don’t even know where to start. Later they half-heartedly address the Climategate issue, but like good environmentalists, they gloss it over and say that it doesn’t mean anything and doesn’t change anything. Apparently a little fraud and data manipulation don’t really mean anything in the great scheme of things, i.e., the hijacking of the global economy and the enslavement of most of humanity. This apparently came out before the leaked “Danish text” which is giving Copenhagen a black eye on its first day or so. The fraud and the secret agenda are becoming more and more obvious and it’s getting harder and harder to cover them up and hope they’ll go away. Our “benevolent” leaders will have to show themselves for what they truly are and ram this thing down our throats regardless of what we the people want. Hopefully at that time, the rest of the sleeping masses will finally wake up to what is being done to them and the resistance will begin.

Spoon Fed Propaganda

Today 56 newspapers in 45 countries take the unprecedented step of speaking with one voice through a common editorial. We do so because humanity faces a profound emergency.

Unless we combine to take decisive action, climate change will ravage our planet, and with it our prosperity and security. The dangers have been becoming apparent for a generation. Now the facts have started to speak: 11 of the past 14 years have been the warmest on record, the Arctic ice-cap is melting and last year’s inflamed oil and food prices provide a foretaste of future havoc. In scientific journals the question is no longer whether humans are to blame, but how little time we have got left to limit the damage. Yet so far the world’s response has been feeble and half-hearted.

Rep. Issa: Obama’s refusal to investigate ‘Climategate’ emails is ‘unconscionable’

John Holdren, eugenicist and the president’s science advisor (or czar or whatever they call him) weighs in and says this sort of thing is normal, so basically it’s “Nothing to see here, everybody move along.”  The fact that this sort of thing happens all the time in science means that it’s not a problem! To defend itself against calls to investigate, the administration’s “top scientists contend one controversy hardly undermines decades of more reliable research on climate change.” However, this one controversy is in regards to those decades of more “reliable” research on climate change! An impartial investigation would show how totally bogus the science is that “states” that AGW exists.

To even talk about it would be to acknowledge that it exists, which is something that the MSM have refused to do. The only two “news” outlets to even have mentioned it here in the good ol’ USA seem to have been Fox News and The Daily Show (on Comedy Central). That’s it. Everyone else (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC) have all been busy with the riveting Tiger Woods affair. Now that’s news that people want to hear about.

From TheHill.com:

The U.N.’s decision this week to investigate whether some of its climate change research had been manipulated constitutes a “direct rebuke” of the Obama administration, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said Friday.

The White House’s unwillingness to open a similar inquiry could now only be characterized as “a sad abdication of their responsibility to ensure that U.S. policies are not driven by corrupted science and data,” the congressman added.

“The very integrity of the report that the Obama administration has predicated much of its climate change policy has been called into question and it is unconscionable that this administration and Congress is willing to abdicate responsibility of uncovering the truth to the United Nations,” explained Issa, the ranking member on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Motivating Issa’s calls for a probe into climate change research, and the U.N.’s decision to launch one, was the publication last month of thousands of e-mails and other documents that global warming skeptics say prove the phenomenon does not exist.

Gibbs: Despite research dispute, ‘climate change is happening’

Gibbs, of course, is a well known authority on the climate. This Whitehouse spokesman gig he has is just to help pad out his resume.

Seriously though, despite the fact that the hacked files show emails discussing how to keep “skeptics” out of the debate (and science is all about being skeptical), how to keep inconvenient data from altering their “findings,” and more, these politicians (Al Gore, Obama and others) state that climate change is man-made and that’s that. End of discussion. The only thing that Gibbs says that is even partially true is this: Climate change is happening. What he fails to state is that climate change has always happened and will continue to happen, no matter what idiotic schemes mankind comes up with to try and keep it from happening.

From TheHill.com:
The White House on Monday made exceptionally clear that it wants nothing to do with the furor over documents that global warming skeptics say prove the phenomenon is not a threat.

Despite the incident, which rocked international headlines last week, climate science is sound, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stressed this afternoon, and the White House nonetheless believes “climate change is happening.”

“I don’t think that’s anything that is, quite frankly, among most people, in dispute anymore,” he said during Monday’s press briefing.

UN chief calls for ‘global governance structure’ to oversee greenhouse gasses

From Raw Story:

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, in an opinion piece published by The New York Times, laid out a number of benchmarks for success in the upcoming global climate talks, planned to be held in Copenhagen.

Among them, Ki-moon argued in the Tuesday edition that a “global governance structure” must be levied to ensure that nations collaborate on how resources are deployed and managed.

The editorial, entitled “We Can Do It,” urges world leaders toward the accomplishment of three key points: Curbing emissions, investing in green growth for third world nations and establishing a supranational structure to oversee resources.

“Every country must do its utmost to reduce emissions from all major sources, including from deforestation and emissions from shipping and aviation,” Ki-moon wrote. “Developed countries must strengthen their mid-term mitigation targets, which are currently nowhere close to the cuts that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says are needed. Developing countries must slow the rise in their emissions and accelerate green growth as part of their strategies to reduce poverty.”

Has Climate Change had its “Ten Minutes of Fame”?

From NetNewsLedger.com:

THUNDER BAY – Yesterday was the International Day of Action on Climate Change. In Ottawa, cold weather kept the crowd from hitting the 5,000 people that organizers hoped. About 500 people showed up. In Calgary, a snowstorm dumped wet heavy snow on the city. On Google, unlike past climate change events, there was not a special logo created. On the front pages of major newspapers across Canada the major stories were not about the looming climate crisis.

In Winnipeg, about 200 people made it to a rally at the Manitoba Legislature. In Vancouver, a city steeped in protest, the crowd was estimated at 5000. Across Canada interest in the day of action appeared less than ever.

Could it be that the fire is smoldering out on the issue of climate change? Maybe in an era where ever shorter attention spans want to shift to other topics the climate issue has had its “ten minutes of fame”?

On the popular news site www.bourque.com the climate issue is not mentioned. This morning, on Google News, there isn’t a mention of the day of protest on the top stories either. The front page of the Toronto Star is void of climate change stories too.
